March 28, 2022 The Governor of Aichi Prefecture, the Mayor of Nagoya City, and the President of the JPC announce hosting the 5th Asian Para Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026
April 8, 2022 The APC Executive Board gives final confirmation of Aichi-Nagoya as the host city
July 5, 2022 The Cabinet agrees that the government will cooperate with the Asian Para Games
November 1, 2022 The name of the organizing committee is changed to the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and Asian Para Games Organizing Committee (AINAGOC)
October 3, 2023 The Host City Contract for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games is signed
