A kick-off event was held for the university collaboration project “Let's Think of Ideas to Enliven the Games!”
On Saturday, November 18, 2023, a kick-off event to create momentum for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026, “Let's Think of Ideas to Enliven the Games!” was held jointly by universities.
The AINAGOC (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizing Committee”) and the Aichi Association of University Presidents entered into a partnership agreement on June 16, 2023 to cooperate and collaborate in various fields in preparation for the Games. This was the first student participation event since the launch of the agreement, and 47 university and high school students attended.
At the event, athletes and commentators who participated in the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games (hereinafter referred to as the “Hangzhou Games”) shared their experiences from the Hangzhou Games and past international competitions, as well as their expectations for the Aichi-Nagoya Games. The students and panelists then worked together in groups to come up with ideas and things they would like to accomplish to make the Aichi-Nagoya Games more exciting. At the end, representatives from each group presented their ideas.
These ideas will be reviewed to see how they can be incorporated into the Games. We will continue to solicit ideas from students in the next fiscal year and beyond and use them to prepare, operate, promote, and build momentum for the Games.
